My love for coffee, sustainable farming, and the beautiful Ecuadorian countryside led us to the best farm property we could have hoped for and now has us growing the best tasting, smooth-bodied Arabica coffee that we could find.

We shade grow all of our Sarchimor variety Arabica coffee, taking great pride in growing naturally delicious, sustainable coffee that has a positive effect on the environment as well as the rural countryside.

Today’s world can be a little challenging. That’s why when we created Hacienda Salida del Sol we decided we always wanted to be open and honest with our guests. We want to be able to bring you the most delicious coffee Ecuador has to offer without compromising the integrity of the trade. These are our values regarding how we do business. At Hacienda Salida Del Sol we care about our customers, employees, and our environment. In today’s society, it’s hard to tell what people and companies stand for. This is why we are declaring and making our values/policies public. We promise these three things will never change.

Delicious Coffee

The main reason we try to provide the best for our employees and land is because of you. By providing amenities and care to our employees we trust that they will operate at a high level and bring us the highest grade coffee available. By tending to what the land craves naturally we bring the ripest fruit for them to work with.

Environmental

We understand that practicing organic policies is the only way to operate. For example: We shade grow all of our coffee. This provides the indigenous birds with a home and they, in turn, provide us with free bug repellent! We believe there is no need for pesticides or herbicides to invade our coffee and bodies.

a fair and decent wage

A living wage is hard to come by in most of the coffee-producing world. A majority of the world can only earn up to $2 a day. We have no doubt that if we really want change we need to be that change. At Hacienda Salida Del Sol we will never sacrifice a human being for a dollar.

Each employee we bring will receive a wage they can survive on.
